Toddler Now
Jack kept on trying to pull this old baby toy out of the closet. So finally I just set it up for him. I'm not really sure what the appeal was.
Jack loves to play in the curtains and look out the window (and bang on the heat register with his toys.)
Jack's getting better and better at walking. He tests it out as much as he can now, instead of just when we make him. And when he puts his mind to it he can walk clear across the room. He's even mastered walking while carrying his sippy cup. Yesterday he did something which, in addition to his walking, really confirmed his entry into toddlerhood. Dan and I were sitting down for a late dinner, so Jack had already eaten and was playing in the living room and listening to his favorite "Animal Alphabet" songs. I paused the music with the remote so we could pray and eat without listening to the "I is for Insect" song. Jack immediately crawled over to the CD player and pressed the play button. I disciplined him and turned it off by remote again. As soon as I turned it off Jack crawled right back over to the entertainment center and confidently hit play again. That boy knew what he wanted and how to get it (now if only he could get past mom and dad.) He's no longer a baby, that's for sure.

We're back!
View of the backyard from Jack's room.
One more shot of Jack's room. Someday I'll get a better one where you can see his crib, changing table, etc...
